Hops – Fuggles – traditional English hops added with care to enable to malts to stand out. A well-balanced take on the traditional English Porter. International Bitterness Units -33

Handpull cask at the brewpub, Barnsley. Purplish black, barely translucent with a thin film of beige head and lots of lacing. Big notes of ash, charcoal (am I just imagining this due to the ‘Collier’ name?), some blueberry and plum. Taste is surprisingly sweet and rounded with dark stone fruit shining through. The back of the sip is more bitter, with added. liquorice character.oily full body with soft carbonation. Love this.
