A dry Irish style stout, presenting almost black, bearing a generous tan head. The aroma profile is of coffee, chocolate and caramel malts. These are matched on the pallet with a full bodied, smooth finish and a balancing bitterness. Currently being tested to become the first certified ‘space beer’ in the world!

Bottle split at Craft Clerko, big thanks to Dave Wingman Willis, 27/01/14. Mid black with a decent tan head. Nose is cocoa, sweet notes, light plastic, earthy. Taste comprises chocolate, vanilla, light roast. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying closure. Ok stout, nothing to get overly excited about though, easy drinking stuff.

Dark brown, thin head. Aroma is pretty intense for a stout of this size in its roasty richness. Body is soft, with nice sweet chocolate, hints of nuts, little bit of hop

This beer has a lovely chocolatey aroma with some tobacco and ash. There’s quite a bit of hops in the taste along with the chocolate. Unfortunately the palate’s a little water and a bit short. It’s the sniffing is where this beer excels, and slurping off that thick off-white head’s pretty good too.

From a 330ml bottle on 12/12/2011. Pours almost black with quite a big tan head. Has a pleasant aroma of chocolate and coffee. In the mouth, there’s a good dash of dark chocolate and lots of bitter roasted malt. Has a slightly creamy texture and a long finish. Just a really well put together stout, with great balance.

(Bottle) Poured opaque black - opaque not because it was cloudy, just because it is very black. Nice tan head. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, dark toffee and dried fruit with hints of fresh sawn wood. Smooth creamy mouthfeel with medium body and fine full carbonation. Strong start with dark chocolate, coffee and smokiness, moving through a slightly thin mid taste to a good bitter finish mixing hoppy bitterness and a lingering smokey burnt note. Overall an unusual beer that works well. Very dry with little in the way of sweetness or fruitiness, but is not unbalanced. Enjoyably different.

Bottled, thanks baggio! Black, minimal head. Heavily roasty with asphalt and dark chocolate. Dry, firm and clean. Plenty of cocoa and tobacco-like finish. A solid stout with concentrated flavours.
