Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell - London. Big thanks to Big Dave! Pours clear brown with a creamy, tan head. Some milk chocolate present, a bit of light rubber, earth, mild char. Light bodied with average carbonation. Toasted brown bread in the finish, some milk chocolate, moderate dirt and earth bitterness. Fair.

On tap at 4 Pines Brew Pub, Manly on 12th September 2015. Sepia brown with thick yellowy-white foam. Sweet roast malt aroma. Roasty malts in-mouth with Christmas pudding and hints of cherry. A lactic touch. Creamy maltiness dominates a rather sweet finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture.

Nice looking beer, lacing completely covers the glass. All else is very subdued, light. If you want a big, meaty stout, go elsewhere.

Bottle bought in Brisbane, August 2014. Black with a small tan head. A bit sweet with roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee. The finish was dry and with some bitterness. A soft and east to drink one. A good one.

Craft Clerkenwell. Bottle thanks to big Dave’s antipodean haul. Cheers mate. Opaque black brown beer, good tan head. Palate is light and airy. Semi dry. Slightly tangy dark malts. Whisper of candy fruits and violets. Light dry finish. Interesting if a bit thin.

Bottle thanks to Dave.it pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is rich, chocolate, treacle, coffee, some roast and oiliness. The taste is roasted malt, toast, coffee, earth, some acidity, pepper and light bitterness. Lightish body and moderate carbonation. Smells rather nice, but unfortunately a bit thin for my liking. Decent enough though.
