(On tap @ Indie, Jan 12 2016) Pours murky pale brown with a big whitish head and lace. Aroma is woody, pumpkin pie filling and roasted squash, a bit of raw sugar and caramel sweetness, toast, dry musty funk and a slight acidic kick underlying it all. Palate is lightly sour like tart berries with citrus juice on them, not heavily acidic but has a nice bite. Core is a little sweet with caramel and some pumpkin flesh, don’t know if it’s barrel aged but some woody tannic notes. Finish has more pumpkin, very light spices, tart core persists and there is a faint drying bitterness, a bit vegetal. Medium bodied with average carb. Not amazing but not bad, it actually was more drinkable than expected. Pumpkin sours are tough but more defined flavours might be nice.

A reddish copper ale with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of candy sugar, cinnamon, cloves, light lactic points, nutmeg, nice. In mouth, a rather tart sweet fruity malt with candy sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, light meaty notes, a bit off putting, so-so. On tap at brewery.
