500ml bottle from the brewery. Whoa! This smells like a cross between a coconut cream pie, and a bottle of Banana boat suntan lotion. This is all coconut, I can’t even decipher anything in the flavour or finish other than coconut. It’s not terrible, but whoa!

A clear dark amber brown ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, intense coconut cream, caramel, pungent and cloying. In mouth, a nice caramel malt covered in greasy coconut butter, light coffee grind, oily mouth feel, OK. On tap at Wellington Gastropub.

Sampled at the Loon. Pours a hazy dark amber colour with a light-beige small head with not much lace. Wow... big coconut oily aromas. Same in the taste, but you get a bit of mild malts, sugars from the brown ale side. Oily mouthfeel. A little much perfume of the coconut to consume a full pint, but a real interesting idea to blend both. Luckily I had the half pint.
