Very fruity and yeasty with a dry grass, and wet paper quality. Some tropical fruit mixed in with farmhouse flavours. Slight tang, dry green hops, slight yeast. A tripel, saison hybrid i find.

Corked bottle from Spirit of Mt. Seymour, North Vancouver
Hazy amber color with bright red-copper reflex, compact head. This beer has a strong body and a solid character, quite spicy, but mostly woody/corky (in a good way), not too dry, with a trace of vegetables though. Quite Belgian.
Very good.

An amber saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light candy sugar, light peated notes, light iodine, OK. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with loads of candy sugar, oily mouth feel, light alcohol warmth, curacao, nice. On tap at Wellington Gastropub.

Nice, a new series and starting with a style I like - a saison. Pours a hazy amber colour with a golden hue. The head fizzes away quickly enough with a beige-yellow colour and does not leave much lacing. Very yeasty overall. Aromas of bready malts, peppery spices, with hints of bananas, caramel and grass. Got some light sourness from time to time. Fruity malt taste with some decent bitterness from the hops. Still, the hefe notes are there. Almost feels like an imperial Hefeweizen with more hops. So, not the saison I was hoping for, but still a decent brew.

Bottle at Firefly, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose brings out Belgian yeast and farmhouse notes. Flavour is quite yeasty, with Belgian yeast, slight candied sugar and floral fruity esters. More like a tripel, but quite a nice one. Very pleasant.
