On tap at Indie Alehouse, pours a cloudy deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, earthy notes and subdued hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy notes, English bready malt and a hint of hops. Earthy and bready. Pleasant.

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, treacle, light chalky notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light chalky character, butterscotch, OK. On tap at brewery.

For the cask version enjoyed at the Indie. Not much in the way of head. Looks red-brown, slightly cloudy. Tastes of soft malts, mild bitterness. Low carbonation, thanks to being a cask ale.

Ok. Pours dark copper with good lacing and some head. Sea malty caramel. Not really any bitterness in taste. Average carbonation. Taste leaves a little sweet actually. Tap at brewpub.
