A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light fruity malt with light chalky character, Brett notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett, very smooth lemon notes, woody notes, nice. On tap at Sacred Oak fest.

(On tap at Bryden’s, June 21 2014) Pours a lightly hazed medium gold with a frothy white head, receding slowly with some lace. Aroma has a fair amount of barrel character which is oaky when cool and becomes more white wine/grape as it warms. When cool it’s got a decent amount of barnyard brett character, slightly sweaty, a few herbal and slightly spicy notes. On the palate, lightly tart with a bit of malt sweetness, vinous fruit up front, barrel character again transitioning from oak to grape with warmth. Finish is dry, slightly tart, some light barnyard and herbal noble hop type bitterness, finish not too strong but fairly refreshing. Medium body, soft carb. Nice interplay of barrel and yeast strain elevates a competent BPA base. Good sipper.
