Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Starts mild, malty, roasty, not too sweet. Mild earthy notes, modest dry. Finish well balanced, malty-roasty. Okay.

Sehr mild röstiger Beginn, geringe Süße. Wenig würzig, minimale Herbe. Ich vermisse bei diesem Bier vieles – langweilig. 9/7/8/7/5/7

Clear deep dark brown colour, small frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malt, coffee, liquorice, bit basement. Taste medium sweet and bitter, dark bread, cold coffee, liquorice. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste mild sweetbitter, coffee, spicy notes. Not bad but could use more maltiness to be a serious Schwarzbier.

Bottle( DDR-Shop, Berlin-Mitte):Deep amber coloured with a reddish sheen, hazy, mid-sized and lacy off-white head; thin barnyardy and toasty nose with - presumably - sime hops and tinge of coffee in the background; light (malty-) bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; short dryish bitter-malty finish. Too thin, not good…
