Served mulled: A murky amber ale with a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, loads of cloves over chai tea, mineral notes. In mouth, sweet cloves and cumin, warming alcohol, cardamom, OK. On tap at Hivern’ale, Jan 25 2012.

On tap: Poured a dark dirty reddish color ale. Aroma of tart cherry notes with some strange strong spices is not the most balanced and not that enticing. Taste is also dominated by tart cherry notes with some cereal notes which are somewhat off balanced with some strong spices which I have a hard time identifying. Body is full with no apparent alcohol. Warm beers are not my favourite but the spice mix used here was probably bit too strong too match the tart notes.
