You find things in the strangest places. Had a 6oz pour of this at Farmhouse Tap and Grill in Burlington. Mostly opaque deep mahogany brown with some cloudy white head. Nose of prunes, nuts, raisins, rum, malt, a little detritus. Flavor is malty, raisins, prunes, bread, rum, stale coffee, some dried apple slices, dried cherry. Full, sticky finish. Not a bad attempt.

A reddish brown bock with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet dark fruits with maple notes, lightly peated, OK. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt with light treacle, molasses, dark fruits, a bit simple. On tap at brewery, Dec. 9 2012.
