Cask days 2012. Vinegar nose, balsamic, some fruit, apples, pears. A little campfire, and soy are in the aroma also. Acidic mouthfeel, a little sour, with a dry vinegary finish, with light smoke. Odd.....

Sample, cask, Volo’s Cask Days, savoured on October 27 2012; eye: brown, hazy, tiny ring of beige head, no lacing; nose: sourness, light wild yeasts, light malt, vegetables; mouth: sourness, light wild yeasts, light malt, vegetables, acidity, sour finale with presence of vegetables, medium body, average carbonation, thin; overall: once is enough FRANÇAIS Échantillon, cask, Cask Days de Volo, savourée le 27 octobre 2012; œil : brun, voilée, minuscule anneau de mousse beige, pas de dentelle; nez : aigreur, léger levures sauvages, léger malt, légumes; bouche : aigreur, léger levures sauvages, léger malt, légumes, acidité, finale aigre avec présence de légumes, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, mince; en résumé : une fois, c’est assez

A hazed dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, strange smokey malt with weird lactic notes. In mouth, sour ale with lactic acid, epsom salts, a bit of astringence and weird. Cask at Toronto Cask Days 2012, Oct. 27 2012.
