On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, banana and clove - more like a hef than a saison. Flavour brings out citrus fruits, banana, clove and some light spice - again, more like a hef, though full-bodied and flavourful. Very decent.

On tap at Alibi Room as Purest Saison. A blonde saison with a thick white head. In aroma, smooth fruity malt with light cloves and cardamom. In mouth, a nice classic saison with fruity malt, cloves, bananas, nice and smooth. On tap at Alibi Room, March 22, 2012.

Cloudy beige colour. Spicy aroma. Little coriander, some orange peel? Fairly estery yeast profile with hints of bubblegum as well. Orangey-peachy flavour, bubblegummy, lightly spicy (styrians, perhaps?). Balanced coriander. Dry finish, strange because it’s a fairly sweet beer most of the way. Fully yeasty character - too much so. That’s what happens when you use your witbier yeast to make a saison. Overall, like a mix of wit and hefeweizen, with the hops ramped up a bit. Fresh and enjoyable beer, if not especially saisonlike.
