A hazed golden ale with a thick lacing and frothy light mocha head. In aroma, interesting wild and piney floral hops, with meaty and menthol notes, catnip, wild. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with loads of floral piney hops, catnip, resinous, oily mouthfeel, yet smooth. On tap at the brewery, March 12, 2012.

Several 12oz pours at The Gingerman in NYC. Pours a hazy gold with a lacing, fluffy white head. Nose is in your face hops, scallions, a little onion, tropical fruit, pine, lemons, grapefruit. Flavor is similar, just enough sweetness to offset the bitterness, flavors of sticky pine resin, garlic scapes, lime zest, grass. Just a very dank, resinous Pale Ale. Medium bodied, zesty finish. Can uber-hoppy, fresh, sticky session IPAs be the new rage? Loved every bit of this.

On tap at the Farmhouse Tap and Grille Burlington VT Pours a hazy medium golden color with a small off white head that shows almost no retention. Smells of fruity citrus, apricot, tropical fruit, and hints of pine. Malt, yeah maybe there’s some there. Taste is a bit different than the aroma lead me to believe. I get more onion and garlic in the flavor than anything else. Medium body and level of carbonation with a resinous bitter mouthfeel. This was a nice beer, but the Lawson’s double sunshine is a tough act to follow.
