This unique dark India Pale Ale is our tribute to the firefighters and emergency workers who helped fight the 2009 Okanagan Valley Fires. An intricate and exciting blending of hops, coupled with a rich malt foundation produces this fine ale with a complex character, dark colour and lingering hop finish. Fierce hop. Gentle Bite.

Poured from the tap. Brownish black with beige head. Very mild roast malt with resinous hops. Very dry and resinous, but not much flavour. Finish is just overwhelmingly bitter with minimal finish.

A little simple, but ok. Pours blackish brown with good head and lacing. Pretty much bitter hops with a little roast malt. Finishes bitter, straight up no bullshit. Creamy texture. Bottle from vitis.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium head. Aromas of pine and resin. Flavors are similar with roasted malts. Light for a black IPA but refreshing and quaffable.

Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a huge light tan head. The aroma has notes of nuts, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes fof caramel, malt, nuts, and bread, leading to a bitter finish. More aroma hops please.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear orangey brown with a dense and frothy off-white head leaving a neat rim of lacework. Sweet roasty nose with a little yeast. Medium body, a little sweet roast, dark fruits, some ashes and a very bitter - if very unrefined - finish. Poor example of the style. 170611
