Oh, hey ! A clean amber porter - not brown. An off-white frothy-bubbly cap, decent stay leaving a little foam lacing. Big cereal nose reminding me of Heritage Brewing. Hints of caramel and nuts. The flavours give out the cereal, slightly darker malts, like rye, and the hops being stronger in the finish. A nice dryness lingers. Might have some corn base smoothening out things. I guess this is what makes a Pennsylvania Porter.

More of a logger than a porter, get it? Pours red amber for starters. Tastes more like a malty brown or red without any sense of roast that would distinguish it as a porter. Finishes with lightly caramlized malt. Tap at Arrow and Loon.

A reddish amber porter with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, nice nutty chocolate malt, inoffensive. In mouth, a sweetish nutty malt with light milk chocolate, light to medium bodied. OK. Sampled at brewery, Dec. 9 2011.
