Brewed with local maple syrup from Shady Grove Maple you’d think this beer would be sweet, but think again! Maple flavours are balanced perfectly with a slightly bitter finish, cleansing the palate for more! FG: 3.0

Lots of caramel malts, brown sugar, and cereals. Finish was very light, and a tad watery, more caramel, and some light maple. Meh.

Decent carbonation, though head fades eventually. You can smell the maple. Had this right after Lake of Bays Rouse and the latter has it beat on cask. This is a clear red. Has some sourness with a tiny off note to after taste. Cask at Castro’s Lounge.

This ale poured a deep amber colour with a big, beautiful, light tan head that was very creamy looking. To the nose there are scents of Maple, malt, dough and cream. First sip had medium flavour with a nice maple background. Not to heavy on it. Flavours of maple, caramel and toast are most prodominant. Finish is slightly hoppy with a light bitterness on the tongue.

A reddish copper ale with a thick moka head. In aroma, nutty caramel, a bit oily, nice. In mouth, a nice nutty malt with light woody notes, light maple, quite nice. On tap at Bar Volo, May 20 2011.
