Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark golden amber color with a thin white foamy head that fell off pretty quick. Not much lace.
The aroma had some grassy and earthy hops up front playing with a slight biscuit to caramel malts in the background. Some toast with some light cereal notes.
The flavor had that malty dryness throwing off the aftertaste a little bit. The finish was brisk with a slight herbal quality about it.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Light carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, as an ESB it works for me. I could go at again preferably with some fish n’ chips.

A golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet berry malt with funky hops. In mouth, a crisp malt with very British hops, biscuitty malts, not bad, medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Dec. 27 2009.
