Bottle. Session with Moroney in BKLN. Pours clear amber with a fine, white head. Honey, citrus hop aroma. Lightly sweet and bready, with toasted biscuits and some floral bitterness. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with modest sweetess and some light earth and floral hops. Good beer.

Bottle thanks to my Secret Santa. Pours a clear gold, with a small white head. Aroma is sweet with bread/dough, corn and hay, grassy with a bit of citrus zest. Taste is bready and grainy with a bit of cardboard (not really oxidation though), grassy and sweet. Dry and thin. Not much going on here.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head recedes to hug rim. Cracker and malt aromas. Thick with upfront dark caramel turning to alcohol in the dry, lasting grain finish.

Bomber - pours a clear gold with a sudsy lace - the aroma is equal parts acidic and honey sweet - some herbal notes hiding in there - the acidic character has an artificial fruitiness accompanying it that reminds me of those cheap little plastic cartons of fruit punch with the foil tops I used to drink when I was a kid - the character is even stronger in the flavor, and it’s what hits the tongue first - this is a damn shame, because what comes after is so much better - a soft wildflower honey flavor, light herbs, bright fruity character - everything you would expect from a decent maibock - but that damn acidity and fake fruit juice character - Jesus, it really ruins it - not to mention the fact that the sense association is starting to bring back crappy memories from the childhood - man, this could have been a great beer.
