Golden hazed wit with a thin white head. Aroma of coriander and bananas with light oranges. Light wheaty malt with light orange notes. Lighter bodied than Blanche de Chambly. Trade with Goldtwins, if I remember. Tasted Spring 2006.

Draft at Brick Store Pub in Decatur GA. This is a cloudy gold colored beer with a decent head ( it might have been bigger - the problem having drafts brought to your table). The sweet malt is balanced by a strong spicyness and lemony tang. Whitbeers aren’t at the top of my list of favorites, but this is one beer that’s quite drinkable and would be a good one for aquiring a taste for this style.

Thanks to aracauna for the trade. This is definitely one of the best Wits I have tried, even if it is not the best example of the style. In fact, many of the elements in a more classic version of the style that I do not enjoy are not a factor in this brew. Pours a murky dark orange with a thin off-white head. Thin lacing. Nicely spiced aroma, with some citrus and vanilla. Light and crisp with a nice citrus aspect, along with yeast, cloves, coriander and other spices. The finish is sweet and lingering. Tbis is an outstanding brew for summer enjoyment.
