On tap at the brewpub in Montreal.
A deep amaber/mahogany color, with little to no head. Aroma of caramel malts, and some ripe fruit. Not much hops in here. Flavour is smooth, and sweet, mouthfeel is sticky. An english style barley wine, but very very sweet.

A reddish brown ale with a thin light moka head. A light caramel and vinous aroma, light treacle, very restrained. In mouth, a nice caramel malt, molasses, treacle and licorice. Good alcohol warmth. Rich bodied, lingering. A decent barley wine. Tasted at St-Bock 31-10-08.
