Deep clear brown with a thin off-white head. Barely any aroma. Light chocolate and malt in mouth, more like a schwarzbier. where is the roastiness announced? They also has a cask version, which was much darker and opaque, but still lacking in aroma. The roasty nuttyness came out this time. On tap at BP, February 4, 2005.

Dark brown colour with a thin light brown head. Fantastic aroma consisting of roasted malt, chocolate and a bit of coffee. Medium-bodied; Very watery; Decent roasted malt flavour-none of the other complexities noticed in the aroma. Aftertaste has some of the malt, but is dry and bland. Overall, a decent smelling and looking beer, but not great tasting! I had this beer on draught at the brewpub in Rochester, New York on 11-October-2003.
