ok, we be slummin today!!!
got to try all sorts of crap today at the inlaws!
well this was mediocre. lifeless, and noring, with a touch of some malt. lawnmower beer. HOney beers are a gimmick. i think the brewer just uses it to color the beer, for my taste it doesnt do anything for the flavor.

very sweet beer. i can actually taste the honey, and not much else. Quite passable, not very enjoyable.

Originally rated December 2005. I think I paid $12 for this twelver when it came out last summer. This bottle I am testing is from that case... 5 months after. Nice, still good. Pours a golden-amber colour with a decent white creamy-foam head. This one has medium retention, but no lacing. The nose is good, with malt and some honey in the background. Boring thin body. The taste is a dissapointment to the aromas. Very smooth, with light malt in the beginning heading into the corn finish that the normal Labatt Genuine Draft has. Much prefer the leader of this honey lager trend... Lakeport Honey.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel amber color with a large soapy white head. The aroma was sour, tangy industrial lager. The flavor was sour, tangy and had a light touch of honey. The finish was sour tangy industrial. Not good.

Slight off aroma when you twist off the less than 12 oz bottle cap. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Clears to a more honey olfactory in the glass. Taste is rather friendly at first but respectfully turns into a hintingly more unrefined lager sensation. Decent carbonation during the session. A variation on Labatts that is somewhat cloying. Seems to be more alky than 5%. Finish leaves a mildly sweet odd aftertaste. Not too bad.

Dark gold colour with creamy white head. Corny aroma with little honey in aroma. Crisp amlt and adjuncts with sweet honey finish. Tin aftertaste. This sucks. Jan. 2005.
