From tap as Bavarian style hefeweizen. 5.5%. Pours hazy yellow. Small white head. Aroma is mild estery. Dry, slight herbal and estery. Fruity and estery dry finish.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours hazy gold with a white cream topping. The nose is simple doughy wheat, zesty citrus and banana. Medium sweet flavor with faint lemony tang, wheat bread, some banana, phenols. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced to finish, not too sweet, with faint bitter hay, lemon meringue, tangerine and bubblegum. Solid.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured hazy gold with a hint of an orange hue and a white head that dissipated slowly but completely. Aroma had a nice citrus note with a bit of clove and sweet fruits and sweet wheat. Flavor starts with citrus with some backing banana, clove and wheat.

On tap at the Pump. Pours a cloudy dirty yellow/orange. tastes of wheat, cloves, bananas, and tart and roasty. not too bad.

April 2004. Hazy blond with pleasant bananas and cloves aroma. Good wheat taste, with light bananas and cloves, but still a bit too much on the light side.
