Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a soft mildly burnt yellow to off-white color with a semi-foamy white head. Soapy stringy lace.
The aroma reaches at some citrus and floral notes faintly flowing over some earthy tones and then a nice malt backbone.
The flavor leans towards the malt backbone and ends up embracing a nice balance with the citrus and floral hoppy notes. Earthiness seems to be a lot fainter in this department. Crisp clean malty to lightly hopped aftertaste rolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty good English pale ale worthy of coming back to.

April 2004. Very fresh malt with citrusy qualities, very fresh. Very fresh malt with butterscotch notes and floral hops in after taste and caramel. Medium bodied.
