Draught @ #NRHBCF 2019 - Day 2 [ The 44th. Nottingham CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival (The 12th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], 🇬🇧 Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Bolero Square, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 1LA.

[ As Black Iris Lovelace ].
ABV: 4.3%. Cloudy looking with a medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, lavender, herbs, flowers, moderate yeasty, saison yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, herbs, saison yeast, lavender, wheat, to me quit odd ! Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20191010]

Keg at Heidrun, 24/11/19. Almost clear golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is floral, lavender, mixed herb, spruce, grass, lemon curd. Taste comprises grass, herbal tones, lemon rind, lavender, light yeast esters, hint of candied fruits. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Passable stuff ... lacks a little cohesion.

Keg at the Sawley Junction, Long Eaton. Straw colour, clear with very little head and a touch of lacing. The lavender comes through very well in the aroma. The taste has some lavender but is quite herbal and sweet with a floral, almost souring note in the finish. Medium to heavy carbonation. This is pretty decent stuff although the flavour is quite singular... I can't imagine drinking loads of it.
