Can from Wood Winters, Bridge Of Allan. Version #1, for which this page has the correct description for. Lower than usual strength in this style but its addition of spice helps to keep things active and interesting. It's fairly fruity too with the apricot in here very apparent and lingers in its aftertaste. Its gritty roasted aroma is where its ordinary stout character is at its best, although there's fruit here too.

Can. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of green pepper, wood and copper penny. Flavour of chilli, rusty metal and dark chocolate. Thin body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A nicely sliced but slightly metallic beer.
