Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Somewhat thin bodied dark malts, a mellow and slightly watery cocoa dark chocolate vibe. Some tangy dark caramel on the back end. Tidy amount of flavour given the mild level of abv.

Can from Great Grog. Black body with lots of chunks beneath a beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour of berries and dark chocolate. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. It’s not in good condition - lots of chunks - but the aroma and flavour punches well above 4.4% ABV.

Can picked up at JK Fine Foods, Aberdeen. It pours jet black with a decent off - white head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred, coffee grounds, dark chocolate, nutty and praline. The taste is smooth upfront, bitter - sweet, plenty of dark roasted malt, charred wood, umami, burnt toast, cacao nibs, coffee, chocolate covered coffee beans and a touch of peppery spice with a dairy roasted and drying finish. Average body, and fine, massaging carbonation. Decent in a cab, but would like to try the draught nitro version for sure.
