A strong, golden ale brewed with malted barley, Tettnang hops and Manuka Honey from New Zealand’s Taylor Pass and fermented with a Belgian yeast strain selected for its big fruity characteristics with hints of subtle spice. Like all good Tripels, its joy lies in the many levels and layers of flavour wrapped up in a beer that’s deceptively light and easy drinking.

Pouring a deep golden colour with white foam, the aroma is classic Tripel banana fruit and cereal with soft honey notes. There’s a warming glow and plenty to savour but it’s a smooth and immensely enjoyable beer with a crisp, dry finish.

Hazy golden beer, white head. Aroma.is floral, with honey and malt. Honey in the flavour too as you'd hope, with a bit of citrus, sweet bread malt, a little hop. Good body, a very nice honey variant of a tripel.

Honey & citrussy aroma. Spotty beige head on a cloudy golden body. Full bodied & creamy. Honey, yeast, herbal, spiced & citrus tastes with a peppery finish.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy pale golden - orange with minimal head. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy orange marmalade, peach cordial, green banana, banana split, light spice, wheat cracker, honey and biscuit. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, tangy, juicy, bright, orange marmalade, peach ice tea, green banana, slightly chalky, honey cake, warming spice, biscuit, cracker, wheaten bread and a nip of booze with a drying finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Drinks easier than it should. Decent enough, but would be elevated with a hearty dose of carbonation.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - hazy golden amber. White head, quite neat. Nose - candied lemon, honey and generally bready. Taste - honey and bread, some zest and sweet spice. Palate - medium bodied, tangy sweet middle and finish, though it has some sort of tangy drop off and linger on the finish. Overall - this grew on me.
