Two Towns Downs At Home Beers #5 of 6 (Second Night). Another second good one of the night, this time its huge caramel aroma before I even supped this one indicated so. A hazy brown colour, despite strong salts, chocolate and caramels are abundant, and although it comes across somewhat dense, it's not particularly sticky-sweet in texture, feeling more smooth than expected. It has a good mouthfeel for it.

10/1/2026. Can at ITFC Beer share. Bought direct from the brewery. Good pour. Aroma is salted caramel, honeycomb, crunchie bar, roasted malts, liquorice, tar. Bitter toffee brittle, salted caramel taste. Liquorice comes through more. Quite full bodied, smooth, low carbonation. Rather good.

Keg at The Colmore, Birmingham. My first beer from Renfrewshire. £5 for a half of a 6% beer seemed steep but luckily it was worth it! Pours black with tanned top. Big decadent salted caramel aroma. Taste has a delicious salted caramel, chocolate, biscuit, lactose, mild roast, light brown sugar. Rich and luscious but there is a nice bittersweet balance and not too thick in mouthfeel. Quality ingredients used here in the brew. Excellent.
