Can from Lowcostbeer. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, vanilla, bitter - sweet, sweet ripe blueberry, blueberry, chocolate cake, toasted spice, liquorice and brown sugar. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, toasty, touch of umami, salted liquorice, vanilla, charred roast, sponge cake, ripe blueberries, blueberry muffin, nip of booze, coffee grounds and a touch of spice with a toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not too sweet or artificial. Decent stuff.

[33cl can at 6.8% ABV from Lowcostbeer.] An opaque tawny brown pour with a tight beige head; tart blueberry aroma; silky smooth in the mouth with well roasted grains providing toast, coffee and chocolate, nicely balanced by the freshness of the berries; then a blueberry muffin tasting finish with a light spicy bitterness. An excellent fruity stout.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown to black, and opaque. Tan head. Nose - just an edge of blueberry muffin. Generally earthy, light chocolate. Taste - some blueberry just about, chocolate and generally cakey. Palate - medium bodied, soft texture, lightly dry on the finish. Overall - good.

330ml can at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasted malt and blueberries. The flavour is liqourice bitter and tart sour, with a smooth, light, slightly watery, tart blueberry palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Super light and watery which was so unexpected and the blueberries totally dominate which I didn’t really like. Ho hum … at least it probably counts as one of my five fruit/veg servings of the day!
