Bottle from Lupe Pintos. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, bitter lemon, subtle spices and a hint of raspberry vinegar. Flavour of tinned mandarin, cloudy lemonade and lime chutney. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy mouthfeel. A refreshing and interesting beer. I’m really enjoying Epochal’s unique beers - they engage the brain.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Cork & Cask I believe. Pours mostly clear honey-gold with a creamy, white topping. Lightly sweet, funky, some peach, melon, a little band aid, cellar. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. More funk and citrus fruit accents to finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle from the Wee Vault. Appearance - a touch lively on opening, then cloudy yellow to brown. Fluffy white head. Nose - tangerine and orange zest. Wood spice and icing sugar. General cakiness. Taste - creamy apricot and orange, then swept away by tangy, zesty and mineral sherbet. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied, then drying yeasty finish. Overall - lovely beer, well designed.
