Can thanks to Roddy. Appearance - deep amber and fairly clear with a white head. Nose - bread, burnt toffee and toffee apple. Taste - chewy toffee, malt loaf Marmite. Palate - light bodied, chewy middle and dry roasty finish. Overall - it doesn't feel like a pale ale, more like a bitter. It's a decent bitter.

Cask pint at the Roseburn Bar. Pours almost clear amber with a tight off-white head. Aromas of brown bread and light caramel. Taste is more of the same. A faint herbal hint maybe. Slightly woody finish.

Cask, pint at The Grill. It pours clear golden - amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is nutty, woody, brown bread, rivita, twiggy vibes and dull caramel. The taste is dry, some bitterness, woody, nutty, earth, grassy, leafy, touch of spice, light leather, touch of caramel and light tannin with a drying, woody finish. Light+ carbonation and decent frothy carbonation. Simple, fairy twiggy affair, but it's drinkable enough.
