Can from the brewery online shop. Pours clear dark amber with a short-lived thin off-white head. Aromas of bread, nuts, light spice and dried mixed herbs. Taste is more of the same. Good example of the style.

Can direct from the brewery. It pours clear brown with a small white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, woody, nutty, cereal, brown bread, rivita, leather, dull caramel and digestive biscuits. The taste is dry, firmly dry, pleasing bitterness which lingers, bitter - sweet character, grassy, herbal, brown bread, digestive biscuits, nutty, cereal, caramel and nip of booze with a nutty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Works malts. A tasty and robust deep malty lager.
