Brewed in collaboration with our fellow Glaswegians Shilling Brewing Co., this strong lager of German origin combines the satisfying complexity of a Bock with the lighter, refreshing qualities of a Helles.
Pale amber in colour, there’s no mistaking the hallmark fresh baked/lightly toasted bread aroma, along with berry fruit and hints of floral and very light peppery spice. Full bodied but not boozy; rich and rewarding but soft and smooth with gentle, rounded bitterness and a crisp, dry finish.

Can at home, from somewhere like Westhill or HoTM. It pours lightly hazy orange with a dissipating bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, floral, orange blossom, touch of orange marmalade white bread sandwiches, hay, peppery spice and juniper. The taste is fairly firm, dryish, bitter - sweet, sweet doughy white bread, biscuit, sponge cake, touch of estery fruits, floral, orange blossom, grass, straw, peppery spice and a light touch of alcohol with a drying, woody finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Quite interesting and quaffable. Decent gear.

Keg half at ISBF 2022 in Manchester. Pours clear orange amber with a cream cap. Sweet bready malts, some caramel, light floral edge, citrus hints and soft hop spice behind. Moderate sweet with lighter bitterness. Rich & malty. Medium body with soft carbonation. Very nice indeed.

Can from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of malty toffee, light spice. Taste is light sugar, faint dried herbs and caramel. Cleans up nicely on the finish.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a very slight haze. Creamy off white head. Nose - bready and lemon. Taste - lemon, honey and rice crispies. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy middle and a finish that is less sweet than many bocks. Overall - good stuff!
