Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. A stunner in the glass. Nearly black with a super dense, lasting, semi lacing, tan Kernel swede. Nose has light roast coffee bean. Charred wood. Damson jam (me Nan’s favourite, like anyone reads this shit). Dark chocolate malt backdrop. Taste is pretty tart and dry. Minimal amount of fruit sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel drinks easy at the ABV. Fine and brisk carbonation. Gets dry and tart as it goes along. Tart fruit finish. Hoped for more to be honest.

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head Bog bold stout aroma. lots of Damson jam. dark chocolate tar espresso coffee. but smooth as hell. I love their export stout and with the addition of the damsons it adds a lovely piquant tone to it. touch of wildness to it. maybe that's from the damsons. good though. the base beer really is very very good. Great berry dirty oily chocolate dry finish.
