Our fruited sour game keeps rolling along, gaining more and more momentum with each release to the point where we believe them to be arguably the most underrated arm of the brewery. After the roaring success of Folsom Stud earlier this year, we wanted to keep up the hype train and release a beer with a distinctly summer vibe – utilising 100% citrus fruits, A Million Pretty Pieces brings Orange, Lemon and Grapefruit to the Polly’s party just in time for summer to roll into its peak. Adding in a kilo of Halen Mon sea salt just to round the tartness off perfectly, this is a beer perfect for kicking back on one of those hazy long evenings to take in the sunshine and toast to a well earned drink after a long day at work. Sweet, sour, and just with a touch of saltiness – let us count a million ways to say we love this beer.

Draught keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Light gold and almost clear with an uneven ring of white head and lots of lacing. Light citrus aroma, not all the much to it. Taste is improved with lots of pink grapefruit mixed with margarita-y salt notes. Sharp yet well-balanced. Gorgeous in the finish with just enough carbonation to give it zing. I like this but it's not the best that Polly's has produced.

Can at Plug and Taps, Preston. Pours clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of orange and lemon. Taste is sharp grapefruit sour. Light salty kick at the back, nicely done.

Can shared at Ebenezers, Crewe – thanks Erika. Pours lemon yellow with a small white head – amazingly a Pollys beer that isn’t hazy/ crloudy / murky ! Aroma is mainly oranges plus hints of lemon. Immediately sharp in the mouth, where oranges and lemons are again the dominant flavours. Salt and hints of grapefruit come through later. Finish is fairly dry. Not my favourite beer style by a long way, but this is decent.
