A low fermentation, high drinkability porter. Brewed with Pearl pale ale malt for basemalt, black malt for the roasted touch, red crystal as caramelmalt and a subtle hopping with Loral.
‘Overporter’ is named after ‘Overpoort’ a(n) (in)famous street in Ghent where students go out.

From tap at STOOM, Nijmegen. Aroma is quite roasty with dark malt, notes of charcoal, dark bread, touch of tobacco, caramel, some dark chocolate. Flavour is mild sweet with a pretty firm roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Nicely roasty Porter, good one.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. Brune, col crémeux café au lait. Arôme offre un bouquet à dominance malté, fin chocolaté, poudre de cacao, grains concassés, petite note de malt cara-chocolat et pils, amertume fine en rétro fin agrumes, citronné et légèrement épicé. Bouquet de cocoa pops amer, dark crystal. Palais est léger, style assez UK dans l'approche avec un caractère bien malté, grillé, petite note de café, poudre de cacao, chocolat noir amer, toffee chocolat caramel - mélasse fudge avec petite note amer tirant sur les fruits noirs. Effet codl brewed coffee sur la fin avec une amertume café qui perdure.

Sampled at BXL 18. Thnx for sharing, everyone. Pours black, small tanned head. Smell is roasty. Intense, very chocolate forward. Taste is sharp. Bit thin. Well intense, chocolate, roasty, médium Carbo. Sweet, bitter ending. ( roasty bitter rather than hopbitter). Nice !

21/09/2018 - draught glass @GIST. Dark brown, tanned head. Nose is roast, bit asht, caramel, coffee. Taste is roasted, coffee. Nicely drinking.

F: big, bit tanned, good retention. C: dark brown to black, opaque. A: dark malts, chocolate, caramel, cocoa, roasted tones, coffee. T: dark roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, dark bread crust, dry on the palate, medium body and carbonation, good one, enjoyed, sample draft @ BXLBeerFest 2018 in Brussels.

Sampled @ BXL Beerfest 2018. A almost black beer with a mid sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark strong malt, dark red fruits, plums, some raisins. Taste of dark mild roasted strong malt, riped red fruits, caramel, liquorice, some Chocolate.
