A bright and lemony sour with hints of fresh mandarin orange from our mixed culture of yeast, bringing out the flavour from Indian coriander seeds. Inspired by traditional German Gose, this beer is refreshing with a little salinity.

Pale golden beer, thin head. Smells tart and zesty. Flavour has lemony and grassy, pretty tart, a little sugary, crisp and fresh and tasty.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of press soup and lemon. Taste is light sour, more green peas. Lemony sour and faint salt finish. A bit thin and pea-heavy.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy straw yellow with a fizzy dissipating white head. The aroma is earthy, straw, grain, kitty litter, quite an obvious peasy character which once you notice it...dominates, boiled tinned veg, coriander seeds and a decent hit of sweetness. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, snappy, salty, savoury, coriander seeds, lemon sherbet, a bit green, the pea character turns up again..... boiled green veg and even some nutty cheddar. Finish is drying. Light to average body and fine, prickly carbonation. The green pea vibe is a rather shame as it dominates. A rare miss from Otherworld.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy yellow with no head. Nose - funky popcorn and cooked peas and lentils. Taste - mushy peas, boiled lentils, with a tangy backdrop. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy sour middle and finish. Overall - quite brave to do a non fruited Gose. It's challenging but once you've worked out you're not drinking the juice from a tin of mushy peas, it gives back to you.
