On tap at BrewDog Bristol. Black beer small collar bubbles. bourbon aroma. oily. dark chocolate. I was expecting something more extreme. its fine. some heat on the finish. light soy sauce. it's OK. just a little hot on finish. fun though. vanilla toffee I thought complex and interesting and not over the top. decent. so somewhere between Scopey and imdownthepub

Crowler from BrewDog Inverurie. It pours oily jet black with a small dark tan cap. The aroma is rich, bitter - sweet, unctuous, oily, rich roasted malt, plenty of chocolate, vanilla, cake frosting, gateaux, big hit of bourbon, gooey chocolate brownie, toasted coconut, bounty bar and Scottish macaroon. The taste is slick, oily, rich roasted malt, thick and fulsome, umami, liquorice, loads of chocolate, vanilla, creamy coconut, gateaux, bourbon soaked oak, hint of tannin, warming alcohol, light caramel, mars bar, bounty bar, nougat and just a touch of alcohol warmth. Fulsome body, rine- moderate carbonation and slick, oily mouth feel. Rich and decadent, but somehow very drinkable. Lovely bourbon integrated with a big base beer. Never too sweet or too much. Really impressed by this.
