Red/purple beer with a thick pink head. Light tart aroma. Flsvour is sharp: apple, blackcurrant, a bit of yeasty bready flavour. Lingering tartness, with sherbety sugar. Nice, fresh and tart/sweet. Very decent.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Cloudy red colour, pink head. Aroma of blackcurrants and apple crumble, no surprise there. The flavour is moderately sour and even more moderately sweet, again notes of blackcurrants and apple crumble, low bitterness, dry finish.

Notater fra en hyggelig Mi2-kveld på Cardinal, anført av en opplagt seremonimester. Kveldens tredje øl, også denne fra fat: purpurfarget med rosa skum som varer. Solbær, epler, citron, havrekjeks og vanilje. Syrligfrisk og slank, en god og anvendelig aperitiff for den lyse årstid.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - pinkish red, lipstick like. Pinkish-white head. Nose - blackcurrant and just an edge of apple. Taste - more blackcurrant, some vanilla and blackcurrant leaf. Palate - rich texture, medium bodied. Not particularly sour. Overall - more enjoyable than the tayberry but not as sour. But very nice.
