Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours deep brown with a big, frothy beige head. Medium sweet flavour, modest roast, cocoa, earth, coffee, burnt grass. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Some ashy roast in the finish, baking cocoa, scorched earth, black coffee. Great stuff.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 16/08/21. Black with a tan cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is mellow roast, charr, liquorice, light spice, cocoa powder, dried red berries. Taste comprises roasted bite, charr, light ashen notes, dusty hops, pine kernels, cocoa dusting, dried berry fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with dusty hop bitterness. Solid.

Bottle at home picked up from Kernel brewery. A dark brown black coloured pour with a frothy mid tan head. Attractive. Aroma is nice punchy dry roasted malts, licked of pine, bitter roast, liquorice, some alcohol. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy roast, singed pine, woody liquorice, robust, Palate is semi sweet, rounded, mellow carbonation. Very good.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear dark brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of dark chocolate, faint liquorice. Taste has some bitterness, more dark chocolate. Rich and velvety. Nice.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - black with a creamy tan head. Nose - pine, dark chocolate and toasted brown bread. Taste - pine and lime this time too, all engulfed in dark chocolate. Palate - medium bodied, roasty and lightly hop bitter on the finish. Overall - good hopped porter with just a hint of black IPA going on.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with a thick beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of lime, chocolate and melon. Flavour of roasted malt, cocoa and a subtle fruity finish. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Kernel do dark hoppy beers so well.
