Our second coffee IPA uses beans sourced and roasted by our friends at Dear Green. Ethiopian washed beans, cold brewed giving notes of peach, honey and clementine. The Coffee is brought together with a soft, smooth pale ale, hopped generously with Citra, Cashmere, Calypso and Simcoe, creating a delicious partnership.

Can from Beerdome Webshop, Grootegaste Netherlands and consumed at home Friday 23rd October 2020 whilst cooking a Old Delhi Style Butter Chicken Curry and a Maharashtrian amti dahl * it's Friday, it's curry night, listening to Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music standing in for Steve Lamaq. Pours gold with a white head, really nice dry, crisp, fresh, IPA, citrussy notes throughout but alas I get little else, certainly no coffee. Good beer.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours slightly rich golden with a frothy white cap. The aroma is sweet and juicy upfront, lovley stone fruits, apricot, peach, nectarine, tangy tangerine, horn of toast, soft coffee, cacao and nuts in the backdrop. The taste is dry and pretty bitter upfront, pithy, zesty, tangerine, waxy satsuma, touch of peach, toasty, earthy, coffee beans, nuttiness and light warming spice with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The coffee is well integrated into the base beer, which is hard to do.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden, hazy and with a big fluffy head. Nose - some canned fruit but dominated by the coffee beans. Green beans as well as fully roasted. Taste - more coffee beans. A hint of canned peach. Palate - close to medium bodied, fresh finish considering coffee. Overall - ok, but not a fan particularly of adding coffee to pale beers.
