This beer works well with meals like curries, meat dishes and also seafood. It is also a great desert beer and a great option to drink on a sunny day.

Bottle from Strong Water. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of liquorice and dark chocolate. Flavour of coconut, ash and milk chocolate. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A decent beer, I’m interested to try more from this new brewery.

Keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark brown, impenetrable and flat. The tiniest ring of off-white head. Coconut milk, fresh paper, touches of dark chocolate in the aroma. Sweet taste with loads of coconut, followed by a balancing bitterness of cooking chocolate. Body is incredibly thin, with medium carbonation. It's good but perhaps it tastes slightly artificial in a way, the flavours don't quite gel for me. Still, very much worth trying.

Bottle picked up at Inverurie Whisky shop. It pours pretty much black with a decent beige head. The aroma is dark chocolate, cacao nibs, toasted coconut, dark choc bounty bar, charred, toast and rich roasted malt. The taste is dry, rich roast. bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, cakey malts, toasted coconut, bounty, coconut water and a touch of coffee grounds. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Strikes a nice balance for someone like myself without a sweet tooth. Good body.
