A smooth porter with a variety of flavours including liquorice, caramelised toffee and treacle. Brewed with a blend of coloured malts, Raven is well balanced with bags of personality!

Draft at the Jerusalem Tavern in Clerkenwell. A proper porter in the glass with a very dark brown to black colour. It was all about the malts and I really enjoyed the beer. I was however a bit blasted by this point and I am struggling to remember a huge amount beyond thoroughly enjoying it.

Cask at the Vine, Norwich. Pours almost black with a small lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, treacle and a touch of liquorice. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Decent brew.
