Bottle from Blue Glass, Bedford. Pours amber with an initially large off-white head soon diminishing to nothing. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit and hop. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture and very lively carbonation.

Bottle from the Blue Glass, Bedford. Drunk at home. Tawny brown, hazy, with a generous loose-ish off-white head. Toffee apple, crystal malt and a touch of cardboard. Tastes pretty good - some light bittersweet malt - but by no means extraordinary. The hintiest hint of astringency on the finish. Well-carbonated body, I can’t imagine this would work as well on cask. Like many of White Park beers, it’s competent and solid but doesn’t excite.

Cask at The Falcon, High Wycombe. Amber with a thin white head. Caramel up front, some nuts, drying by the end. Pretty bland. Next!
