Cloudy orange beer, good white head. Slightly soft and slightly dry palate. Nice light creamy malt base. Well balanced hops, fresh orange with a touch of orange peel bitterness. Smooth finish with more peel bitterness. Marmalade. Just a really nice IPA, flavoursome without being too aggressive.

Cask, Euston Tap, London. Hazy gold looks with a small white head. Some decent tropical fruit and grassy hop in the nose. Sweet flavour with some malts and citrus notes that didn’t quite live up to the promise of the nose. Lengthy if a bit clumsy bitter finish. Not bad, but when you’ve been spoilt by the Kernel’s citra offerings anything else seems to pale a bit in comparison. Now where’s that train.....

Cask at Euston Tap. It pours slightly hazy light yellow, with a decent white head. The nose is grass, sweet syrup, nectarine, orange and herbal notes. The taste is resin, citrus pith, grass and soapy dishwater, with a long bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Far too soapy.

500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a medium head. Aroma is juicy hops, grapefruit and mango. Taste has grapefruit to start with a very bitter grapefruit and citrus finish. One sided but that’s to be expected.
