Robustly full bodied with a glistening chestnut tint, the ale’s complex passion fruit and lychee tartness leaps forward, closely followed by a perfectly charming balance of fruit and malt on the finish.

Cask gravity at FILO, Hastings, Saturday 3rd May 2014 Mid amber but cloudy with slim white head, the description suggests Lychees and Passion fruit, I don’t quite get that but it is tangy, fruity. Dry and with a robust quite rough bitterness. Quite a rustic but decent bitter. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

The Sun Inn, Kelvedon. Summer Beer Fest. Clear amber beer. Residual off white head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Sweetish malts with a trace of toffee and caramel. Sweetish dried fruits with a whisper of lemon and an unusual strawberry note. Finishes smooth. Nicely joined up but it isn’t very bitter!
