Handpull cask at the Brunswick, Derby. Mid-brown, clear with an uneven khaki head. Sweet, malty aroma, a good dollop of caramel syrup. Sweet taste, very muted, with a light bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. A forgettable mild.

From old notes. Vacation in England 2000. Cask @ Billy Bluelight, Norwich. Dark brown colour. Mild indeed, or actually quite boring. Slightly stale. Pleasant finish, but for the rest nothing special

Dark brown color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium (-) body and a soft carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Dark malt, some roast and some toffee in the flavor. Pleasant easy drinkable stuff at the pub.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 2007. I was rather surprised that I hadn’t rated this before. Very deep ruby/brown colour with no head. some roasty dry finish. Little bit watery in mouth. Some dark malts throughout. Decent mild which I guess fresh and in good condition would be very drinkable.
