Bottle picked up at Kihoskh and shared at home - pours a clear amber colour with a thin off white head. Loved the 100.1 Bourbon version and this is just as good, same base barleywine, this time enhanced with brandy barrel ageing, nice full body and sweet lingering calvados infused spiced sweet malty finish. Beautiful.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear reddish amber with a tiny, off-white film of a head. Sweet, oxidized caramel nose with an oaky touch. Rich, fat, sweet malty nose. Caramel, overripe fruit, oak, oxidation. No hoppiness. Warming alcohol. Lovely. 111221

Flaska från Glasbanken. Batch 100.2, Golden barleywine lagrad på Calvados-fat i 18 månader, 14.1%. Rostbrun/rubinröd, klar, med liten smutsvit krona som snabbt försvinner. Stor, maffig och kladdig med bra hetta och toner från fatet. Kolaremmar, katrinplommon, karamell, tobak, kanderade äpplen, läder och massor av smak från Calvadosen. Hetta, lagom kryddighet, fat, lite vaniljsötma. Ligger kvar länge i munnen. Potent och imponerande bra.
